A life of service.. What does that mean? And how does it translate to business? Oftentimes entrepreneurs will start a business for many reasons.. For fame, fortune, wealth and honor. I have witnessed first hand all of these reasons within different business leaders. All misconstrued and very selfish. The good intentions seem to be there at times, but never conveyed, at least not in a positive way. Greed will oftentimes overtake a leader and blind the obvious. If there is success The Leader will immediately rush to claim the glory and in a state of decline many business leaders will find a way to blame everyone else for their downfall. Is that really service?

When I think of service, the first thing that comes to mind is -Mark 10:45 “For even the Son of Man came not to be serviced, but to serve others and to give his life as a ransom for many.” WOW! Now that’s a life of service. When creating Pioneer Texas, that was the very first thing that came to mind. Not to sound cliche, but what would Jesus do? I’m not saying I set out to give my life as a ransom for everyone, but to serve everyone. First and foremost, we are a Christ-Centered business! meaning that our foundation is based off of Christian values which are- Diligence, Integrity and Honesty, Continuous Learning and Constant Improvement, Commitment to Quality and Excellence, Patience and Perseverance, Discipline and Self-Control, and Respect and Courage. These values are instilled into our team members from the time they walk into our doors. There is no disguising our values.

At Pioneer Texas, the service starts with our frontline associates. We ensure they are treated with the highest of respect and provided all the resources and tools that they need to be successful at their jobs. We make sure we listen to our associates and appreciate their contributions to our business. The easiest way to fail is to take your associates for granted or treat them as inferior. Next with our clients. We understand that, if our frontline associates are being treated with respect, the feeling will convey to our clients in their work. It is also critical to our mission to respect our clients, which is why this is a focal point of our culture. The value of respect means that you’ll treat everyone fairly. Next, we are committed to quality and excellence and make it a point to meet with our clients at least monthly to recap so that we are continuously learning and improving. We do not sugar coat or make excuses for anything. Honesty and integrity are our core and should be for any Christian business. We are also active with many nonprofits in our community and will continue to keep adding as we grow.

In closing, there is no way to serve everyone as Jesus did, but we strive to certainly do our best. There are many ways to serve others, sometimes a smile and kind word will do the trick. Jesus paid the ultimate sacrifice and we are now called to follow his example and live his life in our world. At Pioneer Texas Service is our culture and our business. It is our opportunity to provide the calling we were intended to provide and live the life of service we were intended to live!

Blessings!
