According to medical experts, a person with 20/20 vision has perfect vision. Meaning they can see the world clearly. So it’s fitting that the year 2020 gave us perfect vision.

It was a year filed with disruption in every aspect of our daily lives. But the one thing that the year 2020 has taught us, is that we can’t take the “little things” for granted. Those “little things” have become some of the most important things in life, we just forgot they were.

For most of us, we want to take better care of our health. Or we want to spend more time with family, but could never find the time. For others, we wanted to travel and explore, learn or read more. Some of these things we were not able to do in a more traditional sense. But if 2020 taught us anything, it’s that we can overcome so much, as long as we remember what is most important in life.

If you wanted to take better care of your health, well this certainly was the year for that. We all looked at ourselves to see how we would fare against a virus that we knew nothing about and most took steps towards a healthier lifestyle. If we wanted to spend more time with our families, most jobs moved to a “work from home” model while teachers and schools are doing their best to ensure virtual learning is successful. Most parents were forced into a teaching role and maybe learned something new about themselves or their children. If we wanted to travel and explore more, we maybe weren’t able to hop on a plane and see some far off destination, but we explored and learned about different hidden gems that are just a gas tank away.

For everyone at Pioneer Texas, we learned to adjust our business model to the new demand for cleaning and disinfecting. We even became certified in COVID cleaning and disinfecting. We are proud that some of our team members are certified by the National Health and Safety Association. We are proud that the work we do everyday helps business stay in business.

We are grateful for every one of our associates and team members who put themselves on the line to make sure that others have a clean and COVID free environment. We are grateful for all of the business owners who put their trust in us to serve them and their customers regularly. Last and certainly not least, we are grateful to our families who we couldn’t and wouldn’t be able to do this without.

2020 has reminded us that there is room for improvement in our world and in ourselves. We see how much we are all connected. We see how much we all need each other, and we see and realize what matters most.

At the end of 2020, we have learned that people are resilient. Humans can adapt. So we may we never forget what we have been able to see so clearly with 20/20 vision, this year. May we never take our blessings for granted, and may we all have a happy and healthy new year!
